Bollywood actress and political figure Kangana Ranaut has expanded her property portfolio by purchasing a new office in Mumbai. The office is located in the Arc One building in Andheri (West) and was acquired for Rs 1.56 crore. According to official records, the space covers 407 square feet. The purchase was finalized on August 23, with a stamp duty of Rs 9.37 lakh paid.
Development Details of Arc One
Arc One, the building housing Ranaut’s new office, is being developed by Chandra Gupta Estates. The project has received approval from the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
Previous Real Estate Controversy
Ranaut’s involvement with Mumbai’s real estate has not been without controversy. In 2020, parts of her newly constructed office were demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) after she made public remarks against the ruling Shiv Sena party following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. This demolition led Ranaut to file a lawsuit in the Bombay High Court, seeking Rs 2 crore in damages, claiming the action was unlawful. After the incident, she was granted Y-plus security by the central government.
Balancing Politics and Acting Career
Despite her real estate and legal battles, Kangana Ranaut remains active both in politics and her acting career. In the 2024 general elections, she won a seat as a Member of Parliament for the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency in Himachal Pradesh, defeating Vikramaditya Singh, son of the former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. On the professional front, Ranaut is currently promoting her latest film, Emergency, set to release in theaters on September 6.
