MHADA Lottery will be held on Monday, August 14, for 4082 Maharashtra Housing Area Development Authority (MHADA) homes. The draw will take place at Nariman Point’s Yashwantrao Chavan Centre auditorium, with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in attendance. Mumbai MHADA is busy preparing for the lottery event. Now MHADA has given an important update for the applicants.
Earlier, after winning the MHADA housing lottery, the winners had to go to the bank to redeem their paperwork. Similarly they had to go to bank to deposit the stamp duty and registration fee. However, MHADA has made a significant step to reduce the winners’ effort. MHADA is formulating plans to carry out all procedures at the MHADA headquarters through a single window concept. Senior MHADA officials have said that this facility will be accessible for future housing allocation.
MHADA has received a Rs 519 crore earnest money deposit from applicants. Bidders who do not win will be refunded online. Applicants brought out into notice that the housing board was making lakhs of rupees in interest on this cash in the meantime. A MHADA official, however, rejected this sum as a “pittance.”
Andheri, Juhu, Goregaon, Kandivli, Borivli, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Powai, Tardeo, and Sion are among the areas where the apartments are located. The lottery contains 1947 flats under the PMJAY plan, the majority of which are in Pahadi Goregaon.
