To run its electric car and energy businesses, the company will be based at Tower B of Panchshil Business Park in Viman Nagar, Lohegaon, beginning in October.

With Tesla India Motor & Energy leasing an office space in Viman Nagar, Elon Musk’s company is moving to Pune. This indicates that the company intends to invest in India in order to establish a presence there.

To run its electric car and energy businesses, the company will be based at Tower B of Panchshil Business Park in Viman Nagar, Lohegaon, beginning in October.

From Tablespace Technologies, a total of 5,850 square feet of area has been leased for a price of around Rs 11.65 lakh per month. The net carpet area is about 3,150 sq. ft. On July 26, the rental agreement was registered after stamp duty of Rs 34.95 lakh was paid.

The details of the lease agreement also reveal that the business would also receive 10 parking spaces for two-wheelers and five parking spaces for cars.

The lease has a lock-in period of 36 months or 3 years and a term of 60 months, or 5 years. The rent will increase 5% yearly.

According to the floor design, there will be 3 conference or meeting rooms and 41 staff seats.

Sources claim that Tesla is considering building a plant in India to produce 5 lakh electric vehicles and establish the nation as one of its export hubs to cater to Indo-Pacific market along with the Indian subcontinent.

Due to a lack of specific incentives to import the automobiles, the company’s proposal to establish a facility in India was shelved in 2022.
