Uttar Pradesh scales up industrial land bank to 25,000 acres, aiming for economic growth and job creation. Plans for mini-industrial clusters in rural areas outlined.

Scaling Up Industrial Land Bank

The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is accelerating its industrial development initiatives, expanding its land bank to 25,000 acres. With the goal of achieving a trillion-dollar economy by 2027, the state has strategically acquired land across 75 districts. Recent allocations in Lalitpur district for a bulk drug park highlight the state’s ambitions to become a pharmaceutical hub.

Enhancing Industrial Infrastructure

The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) is actively acquiring land in various districts, including Hathras, Hardoi, and Lucknow. The introduction of e-auctions for plot allotments has significantly increased transparency and operational revenue.

Promoting Women-Centric Facilities

Under the Atal Industrial Infrastructure Mission (AIIM), UPSIDA has prioritized the development of women-centric facilities within industrial parks. This initiative aims to enhance female participation and employment opportunities in the industrial sector.

Expansion into Rural Areas

The government’s focus extends beyond urban centers, with plans to establish mini-industrial clusters in rural areas. By leveraging Gram Sabha land and providing incentives such as stamp duty waivers, Uttar Pradesh aims to generate local employment and bolster the MSME ecosystem.

Empowering MSMEs

Uttar Pradesh is committed to doubling MSME exports to Rs 3 trillion, recognizing their significant contribution to the state’s industrial output. Traditional industries such as silk, carpets, and leather goods continue to thrive, forming the backbone of the ‘Make in UP’ agenda.

Driving Economic Growth

Through strategic initiatives and targeted investments, the Yogi Adityanath government is positioning Uttar Pradesh as a key player in India’s economic landscape. By leveraging its resources and fostering a conducive business environment, the state aims to unlock its full potential for sustainable growth.
